Welcome! My name is Ann Draznin and I am the owner of Ann’s Animal Behavior, LLC.
I was born and raised in Colorado. A few years ago I got two dogs and one of them had a hard time getting house trained and had separation anxiety. I was very patient with my dog and through my gentle training and patience, she became a well-behaved dog. After this experience with her, I decided to become a certified dog trainer. I obtained my degree from Animal Behavior College and I graduated in May 2007.
In addition to my dogs, I had a cat who was very shy. I worked with him and he become a social, happy, well-adjusted cat. I spent over a year volunteering at my local animal shelter and was able to have a positive impact and create behavioral change with many cats in the shelter, allowing them to find forever homes.
I use positive reinforcement with dogs and cats and my skills are applicable to a number of problem pet behaviors. I also assist in helping my clients develop the best possible relationships with their pets.
I decided to become a pet sitter because I had a very bad experience with a pet sitter that I’d hired to watch my animals. I realized that if I was having a hard time finding quality care for my pets, there were probably many others in the Denver area who were experiencing that also.
Something I often hear from my clients is how much they appreciate that I go above and beyond when caring for their animals and I pride myself on this. I text my clients when I arrive and leave each visit and send pictures of their pets to them. When I notice something’s not quite right with the animal or the house, I notify the owner immediately. I love animals and I’m grateful every day that my livelihood involves caring for them!
